June 2018 Art

June was a busy month, but a good one.

I finished my art print of Pink Mercy, which will be sold at London Comic Con and Forest City Comicon with profits donated to the London Regional Cancer Program. I feel really good about using my art to help support cancer research and treatment on a local level.

I participated in a couple of fun community art challenges this month too, first with a ballgown design for Faebelina’s Warcraft Ball, and then with an entry for #Pridecraft. Queer representation in media is an important cause for me, and it was a fun piece to do.

I created an illustration/package design for a friend’s tabletop game as well this month, which I will be able to reveal in July. I’m not in a place were I can take on regular commission work, but it’s nice to have some projects from time to time.

I took part in a game jam as well and won the award for Best Visuals! I wrote about it in a separate blog here.

And finally, I got some exciting mail! Last November, I created a piece for the Artists of Azeroth community anthology. My book arrived and I finally got to post the piece I created. I’m so proud to have been a part of this project, which has raised over 3000 USD for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. You can see my piece in my gallery¬†here!
