Bee Girl for Fish World

A lot of my time working on Fish World is spent making new decorations for our players to play with. I make typical tank decoration items like corals and rocks, but I get to make a lot of fantasy stuff too. We’ve found that players love to make fantasy scenes, and they use humanoid decos as the centrepieces to their tank creations. The game has changed over time from a fish tank simulator that’s all about collecting fish, into more of a decorating game about creating cool little dioramas and scenery using decorations.

Anyways, this bee girl was one of the humanoid decorations we released a few months back. It was fun to see people using her in all kinds of tanks, from garden scenes to the inside of a beehive! It’s amazing to see the players get so creative. I was proud of how she turned out, and it was fun using such bright happy colours! Done in Illustrator in about 1.5 hours.
