New year, new art, new site!

Hey, it’s been a while since I updated this blog! As you can see, the site has undergone a complete revamp. What happened was my WordPress theme was no longer supported, so the latest update broke some key features. The old design was starting to look its age anyways, so I don’t mind having the chance to completely redesign things.

The new site uses the WordPress theme “Illustrator,” meant for artist sites. What I like about it is how simple and clean the design is. The focus is entirely on the art itself, which is presented larger than the old site, and none of the images are cropped. I’ve also now got space inside each piece in the portfolio to post WIPs and details, and explain a bit about each piece. I feel like the design of the site reflects a greater maturity that I see in my own work.

As far as what the year ahead holds, it’s hard to say at this point. I am signed up for several comic cons, but who knows if it will be safe to attend them. For now, my plan is to continue to produce illustrations that bring me happiness, and the future will happen as it happens.
